Deep violet meets a band of sea green on this Kanchipuram silk saree, the two divided by the rettaipet, the twin zari lines that mark a traditional Kanchipuram border. The pure mulberry silk carries a weight and a glow that only a Kanchipuram loom gives, and the gold catches light as the pallu moves.
