Sea green fills the body of this Thirubuvanam silk saree, marked with a single round gold butta, before it turns into a deep maroon pallu. Two large gold zari peacocks face each other there, tails drawn in fine detail across the width. The korvai join holds the green and maroon together at the loom. The peacock stands for grace and is the most loved of the Tamil zari motifs. A handsome saree for weddings and festival evenings.
